Welcome to the TNC page,
a testament to where edge-cutting innovation excellence merges seamlessly with Central Canada’s traditional blue collar values.

About us

  • Our journey began in 2016, amid the nascent stages of the IDC industry, leveraging Manitoba's rich legacy of high-voltage electrical infrastructure originally established for a past economy pillared by heavy industries like metal mining and smelting, and wood processing.

Recognizing the significant opportunity to repurpose Manitoba's robust infrastructure, our founders aimed to transform the region's electrical resources and skilled technical workforce into key assets for the burgeoning IDC industry. With global demand for processing power escalating, IDC operations require plentiful grid power and a stable, cool environment—conditions uniquely satisfied by Manitoba's climate and power capacity.

  • TNC has forged a long-term partnership with JA Electric Inc, a locally celebrated electrical company boasting over 20 years of experience in the industry. Together, we have undertaken extensive upgrades to the electrical infrastructure at TNC's Manitoba locations, tailoring them to meet the complex requirements of modern data centers.

As our sites development continued in their expansion, Explorernet, formerly known as Swift High Speed Internet, joined us as our dedicated internet service provider. They undertook the installation of dedicated fiber conduits underground to our sites and implemented overlapping redundant internet services to each of the TNC sites. This strategic infrastructure ensures consistent, top-tier internet connectivity around the clock for the IDC operations that TNC have established.

To equip our local operation team with world-class expertise, we sent our staff for specialized training in IDC operations in the USA and Japan, enabling them to deliver exceptional service quality on a global scale.

  • From our roots in Manitoba, TNC has been expanding, acquiring a third data center in Alberta in 2019 and securing a multiyear facility hire agreement for a fourth site in Quebec in 2021.

  • In 2023, TNC successfully ventured into the IDC development and operations industry in USA. With three new sites in the development pipeline, totalling 70MW+ of new power purchase agreement secured, TNC is expanding rapidly and becoming more and more cross-border.

With each new site, our seasoned team of professionals ensures the highest standards are met, maintaining stringent control over every critical aspect of our data center operations.

Our growth has also allowed us to bring our team along with our valued partners, JA Electric and Xplorernet, beyond Manitoba and even Canadian borders, ensuring consistency and reliability of infrastructure across all projects we develop.

At TNC, we are committed to harnessing technology and creativity to deliver results that exceed expectations. Our team and partners, renowned for their exceptional skill and enthusiasm, are the foundation of our success. As your trusted partner, we are dedicated to integrity, innovation, and delivering exemplary customer service.
